7 years of Dora

Dora's first birthday!!  A priceless picture for me.  This was in the orphanage in China.  She has celebrated all of her birthdays with cake.  She was well cared for and loved her first year of life.

Dora's seventh birthday!!! How can this be!! I am in awe of this wonderful not so little girl.  She is the light of my world and apple of her Daddy's eye.  When asked what was her favorite part of the day?  She said getting to be with my family all day, and playing with all of her friends.  Don't get me wrong she loved opening her presents but she enjoyed playing and being with people just a much.  We have so many blessing in our life and she realizes what is the most important.  I have loved every moment of being her Mom.  I will finish with some of my favorite Dora things from right now.   I love that she loves dances to the music at church and loves to sing out loud and proud.  The fact that she thinks of others before herself.  She is a flexible child, who can go with the flow and often does.  She hates to have her hair brushed but loves to have her hair done up.  She matches her clothing by how the feel together not by the color, style or if they match.  She would eat a hard boiled egg everyday and follow it with a hot pocket or a piece of fish.  She falls asleep singing.  She loves to take a bath and create awesome colors with a variety of soaps, shampoos and crayons.  Her bathtub is one of the most colorful places in our house.  She tries to shake as many hands at church when sharing the sign of peace.  She says thank you most of the time without a prompt.  Ode to Joy is a song she can play from memory.  Monster high dolls are everywhere in our house. She is very honest.  I still can't believe she is 7!!! Here's to another great year of Dora!!
