Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads in the world. Phil is such an amazing Dad. He loves to draw on the driveway with chalk. He blows endless amounts of bubbles. He watches NiHao, Kai-Lan over and over. I can name a thousand more things just like these. He never loses his temper with Dora, he may want to but he just turns his head and smiles then walks away if he needs to. Listening to Phil give Dora a bath is hilarious. He sings and chats and they play water games. It pains him more than her when he washes her face. I am so proud to have him as my husband and father Dora. He is such a strong male role model for her.

The past week has been fun and busy. It was grandpa's birthday, we went to cows on the concourse (cows are big in Wisconsin), Dora went to her first movie Kung Fu Panda and it was awesome, and it was Aunt Kim-Tai's birthday. Dora loves to watch Ni Hao, Kai-Lan and in an episode where it is raining, they all put on raincoats, rain hats and boots and play outside. The past few weeks we have had horrible amounts of rain and terrible thunderstorm so they have not been good for playing in the rain, yesterday she finally go to play in the rain and jump in puddles. The hat is Mommy's but she sure did look cute. We even saw her first rainbow, pretty clouds as she called them. We had fun at the park today, Dora likes to sit on the swing and will identify one anywhere, but she really doesn't like to actually move on the swing. My big brave girl :) My one sadness for the day is that I did not get a picture of Dora with Phil on Father's Day. I took a couple of Phil opening presents, but at his request I did not post them. He is having a bit of a time with allergies currently.
